Kyle Philips A Healthy Scratch In Week 17

Sunday, December 31, 12:16 PM

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kyle Philips and tight end Trevon Wesco are both healthy scratches for the Week 17 game on Sunday against the Houston Texans. Philips missed the last two games due to a hamstring injury. He's healed up, but the Titans will keep him out regardless. The 24-year-old was also out in Week 13 and returned in Week 14 to play just three offensive snaps in the win over the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football. The second-year receiver has mostly been an afterthought in Tennessee's offense this year, catching only 13 of his 19 targets for 166 yards and no touchdowns in eight games played. The Titans will move forward on Sunday with DeAndre Hopkins, Treylon Burks and Chris Moore as their top three wideouts.

Dontay Demus Jr. News

Dontay Demus Jr. Leads Ravens Receivers With 86 Yards

Sunday, August 27, 12:25 PM

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Dontay Demus Jr. turned in a couple of big plays during the team's loss in their final preseason matchup. The 22-year-old rookie out of Maryland finished with 86 yards while catching two out of his three targets. Demus had to put everything on display to grab one the final remaining receiver spots on the team. His competition at the end of the bench isn't the best, so he had a real shot. He turned that into a big 47-yard catch when Anthony Brown was scrambling away from pressure and another 39-yard grab as well. While Demus didn't score, he did at least show some big play ability and an ability to get open to extend plays.
